UCT – Events

This page shows the regular events that we run. For once-off or ad-hoc events (such as our Orientation week events), please refer to the Calendar (Campuses > UCT > Calendar).

HUB (Friday At The Y): Y Hall, 17h15

This meeting serves the dual purpose of being a fellowship meeting that is a home away from home, and a training meeting that gets us prepared to leave our comfort zones and be active Christians on campus.

Men’s & Women’s Ministry:

Women of the Word (WOW): Tuesday, 06h30-07h45
Men (Ironman): Friday, 06h30-07h45

We have early morning men’s and women’s breakfasts every week during term time. Breakfast is free. Last year about 30 guys and 30 girls regularly attended their respective meetings to discuss the biblical perspectives on manhood or womanhood. It’s early, but it’s good – check it out!

Campus Forum:
Various venues

Tuesdays, 13h00

A monthly lunchtime talk and discussion on topical issues.

Bible Studies:

Small group Bible studies exist to help you to learn to read and grapple with the Bible for yourself. See the Bible studies link for information on studies near you.

Camps & Weekends:Slackers 2010 group

We have two getaways scheduled for this year: The ESC conference is a 3-day camp which is packed with fun, good food, worship and fairly intense workshops aimed at training us to interpret Scripture accurately.

The Slackers Camp happens after final exams and is a time to chill-out, forget the exam stress, have huge fun and fellowship and spend some great time in the Word.
